Small
Businesses – those with 50 or fewer network users - often do not
have IT staff. Even those that are as large as 100 -150 users
may only have one person in charge of the day to day support of
those users. A one or two man band may work well for day to day
user issues, but probably does not have the necessary skills to
complete unusual projects such as sever upgrades or exchange
sever migrations.
Projects are
usually something that a small network environment doesn’t need
done often enough for an in house technician to have the
experience to do competently. Would you have a surgical
procedure done by a doctor that only does it once every three or
four years?
Even if the
in house technician, when he was hired, had the necessary skills
to successfully complete a project, unless he works hard to keep
his skill set up to date they will atrophy over time. Because of
the constant upgrading of operating systems and applications,
skills that are current today, if not maintained, will be
marginal in two years and practically useless in three.
At The
Computer Guys we work hard to keep our skills up to date. We
learn new technologies early in their product cycle and
implement those technologies for multiple clients. We typically
have multiple experiences with projects and understand how to
avoid problems and what to do if one is encountered.
Whether your
project is a Windows Server upgrade, Blackberry Enterprise
Server implementation, Windows SharePoint implementation, or any
other of a dozen or more common projects The Computer Guys have
the skills and experience pull it off flawlessly.
